Job Description:

Payme Swiss AG is a Banking as a Service (BaaS) and Embedded Finance startup specializing in innovative payment solutions and infrastructure for B2B and B2C companies, with a focus on affluent clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain intuitive, user-centered interfaces and experiences for web and mobile platforms
  • Collaborate with product manager, developers, and stakeholders to understand business goals and translate them into effective design solution
  • Create and optimize user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals for various screen sizes and use cases
  • Ensure high design quality through usability testing, feedback sessions, and adherence to design best practices and standards
  • Work on integrating design systems, UI libraries, and brand guidelines into the product design process
  • Identify and resolve UX pain points, inconsistencies, and accessibility issues within the product
  • Implement user-centric and accessibility best practices, including WCAG compliance, color contrast, and interaction patterns
  • Collaborate with frontend and backend teams to ensure smooth handoff and implementation of design assets
  • Diagnose and iterate on usability issues based on analytics, user feedback, and A/B testing result
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, standups, backlog reviews, and retrospectives, to align design work with team goals.
Your profile:
  • 3-4 years of professional experience as a UI/UX Engineer, Designer, or in a similar role, with a focus on enterprise or back-office applications
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in designing complex systems, including back-office tools and enterprise software
  • Experience with user research, persona creation, user journeys, and gathering actionable insights to inform design decisions
  • Proficiency in UI/UX design tools such as Sketch, Figma or similar
  • Strong understanding of interaction design, information architecture, and user flow creation
  • Experience creating and maintaining design systems and ensuring consistency across applications.
Beneficial skills and experiences:
  • Previous experience working in the payments or banking industry, or with financial applications
  • Knowledge of the unique needs and challenges of back-office systems, including workflow optimization, internal user needs, and complex data presentation
  • Familiarity with compliance requirements and regulatory standards relevant to payments/banking (e.g., PCI-DSS, GDPR)
  • Familiarity with tools for user testing and prototyping (e.g., UserTesting, Lookback.io)
  • Experience in data visualization or designing systems that present large sets of data in a user-friendly way
  • Knowledge of design accessibility and creating inclusive experiences for users with diverse abilities.
